About Jennifer Kittenplan

Jennifer Kittenplan grew up in Covington, Louisiana where she was mainstreamed for all of her K-12 education. Jennifer graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology. Jennifer then received her masters from Texas Tech University in Special Educator and Counselor Education. 

Jennifer currently works as the Student Resources specialist for the elementary and middle school departments. Her areas of expertise include Social Emotional Learning (SEL), redirection, Picture Symbols Communication (PCS), Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Mandt (holistic training), in-home training for families with deaf children on the spectrum, education, and training presentations, and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS). Jennifer strongly believes that we are the children’s key advocates in promoting social and emotional learning (SEL) skills as they navigate through life at their home away from home.

During Jennifer’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her wife and six pets. They love traveling, hiking, and attending a variety of immersive shows.
