When classes end, the Student Development staff at Texas School for the Deaf goes to work, providing life-enriching opportunities for fun and social interaction. The hub for these activities is the Deaf Smith Center, which opens after school and sometimes on weekends. The Center features a snack bar, 4 TVs, pool and ping-pong tables, a large central area for any multi-purpose activities such as 6 square, team building activities, parties, and the like.
Student Development also offers After School Programs daily for Elementary, Middle School, and High School. We offer clubs such as Arts/Crafts, Fitness, Yoga, Walking, Media, Yellow Bike Project, Carpentry, Sewing, STEM, and more! We are fortunate to have such an excellent team of Day Residential Educators to help out with the clubs!
