ABOUT TEXAS SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF FOUNDATION’S DIAMOND GALA

The Diamond Gala began when the Hilton Austin formed a partnership with Texas School for the Deaf (TSD) in 2007. At the time, Hilton’s executive chef had just been named Diamond Chef, the highest honor among Hilton chefs worldwide. TSD’s culinary students – “diamond chefs in the rough” - work throughout the school year for the honor of earning a spot alongside Hilton’s executive staff to take part in preparations for the annual Diamond Gala – a showcase of TSD student talents and unique fundraiser for the TSD Foundation.
