One of TSD’s goals is to provide all students with the nutritious meals and snacks they need to be healthy. TSD operates the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and the School Breakfast Program (SBP) and follows US Department of Agriculture (USDA) guidelines for accommodating students with medical disabilities per Code of Federal Regulation (7 CFR, Part 15b).

Menu accommodations can be provided for the following:

  • Students with an IEP or a 504 plan for a disability who have a special dietary need
  • Students with no ADA-recognized disability, but who have either a food allergy or life-threatening disease that requires immediate medical attention (For example, administration of an EpiPen to treat anaphylactic shock)
  • Students with food allergies that require alternative menu options

General notes on cafeteria menus:

  • Menu accommodations are not made based on personal preference, but multiple menu offerings, including a vegetarian option, are served daily
  • Weekly menu options can be found on the website under the tab “Food Services”/Menus
  • Peanuts or peanut products are not served in the TSD cafeteria. \
  • Milk alternatives are available on an as-needed basis.  Contact the food services department for further details
