Welcome to my page!

I am originally from Columbus, Ohio (Go Buckeyes!!). Upon graduating from high school, I then moved to California to pursue a B.A. degree in Liberal Arts with a concentration in ASL studies from CSUN; California State University, Northridge (2008 to 2012). After four years of undergraduate studies, I continued my education at CSUN to receive intensive training in deaf/special education for two years, 2012 to 2014, along with a full-time internship at a public school under Los Angeles Unified School District, LAUSD. With the completion of a two-year teaching credential program, I was still hungry for more educational training in deaf education. Moving from California to Washington DC, I attended Gallaudet University to pursue an M.A. degree in Deaf Education, which was a one-year program, from 2014 to 2015. Within this program, I have received advanced studies in deaf education, which consists of bilingual methods, working with families, deaf culture studies, critical pedagogy, and assessment methods. I also had an opportunity to complete a thesis project on the impact of self-esteem, identity development, and school achievements on deaf immigrated high school students.

This is currently my ninth year teaching, and I look forward to working with the TSD family once again!
