hello everyone thank you for joining us today to recognize our students by giving them their Awards this is our first and hopefully last virtual award ceremony throughout the course of the last few months there have been multiple challenges for students family and staff and how we proceeded in this environment I want to come and thank you for playing your part in this teachers have worked hard to transition lesson plans and instruction for online learning students have continued to do their work and submit assignment to Google classroom in various platforms and parents have encouraged students to maintain attending classes and either work on time thank you so much for playing apart and continuing our school routine we do have a host of student awards to recognize and hand out celeb it started enjoy hello I would like to recognize the excellent job done by art robotics teams to compete with several different desk the teams worked hard to build the robots compete play their matches and prepare them to rise through the challenge in competition one of our student teams received first in the competition and I really want to commend them for all of their hard work I also went to all of our teams for all of their effort hello this is Brian here I am the TSD performing arts program coordinator and I want to thank all of you for the wonderful memories that we had with our production The Brothers Grimm spectaculathon we were able to pull together such an amazing group of send student crew members that worked hard and as a team to make a beautiful and fun humorous Story come to I look forward to next year good luck to all of our eighth graders and I will see you guys next year in high school by 6th grade math from mrs. the best efforts those students that teachers have recognized working hard throughout the year and their classes they will raise their hands to ask for assistance they take their academics seriously by doing their projects their homework and all of their tasks they've completed their work at the highest level of quality this is a student who success investment in their features to recognize this student our best effort award goes to Michaela Stein most improved student award goes to a student who has shown growth from the fall until now not only as a student but as an individual with personal growth the stories that have been shared with me the student is that they are motivated they are a completely different teachers at any time when there's a problem or conflict with work or in star on a project the student Works to individually figure it out before asking for assistance they are willing and wanting to learn I have 100% of the student will continue to grow in a year the most improved award goes to oral fries the highest GPA award goes to the student right now who has the second highest GPA in the eighth grade this student's GPA is a 3.56 in the second highest GPA award goes to Michaela Stein are ideal student award goes to an individual who is very hungry for knowledge improves themselves stays focused in class dissipates in discussion completes all of their work at a high quality level when I see the student in the hallway they're always very friendly and respectful they say hello they will be the first person who is willing to volunteer to help out anyone in need I am seeing the student around middle school and I am looking forward to seeing them around in the future the ideal student award goes to Madeline the highest GPA award goes to an eighth grader who has the highest overall GPA for the 8th grade class this is a war that it recognizes hard work high level of success and the work never stops this student's GPA was an overall 3.78 I am happy to recognize the student who won the highest GPA and that is Madeleine McCann hello everyone I'm Toby Daniel's Middle School athletics and Special Olympics coordinator looking back over this year we've had some wonderful athletic programs in the fall of 2019 we had flag football volleyball cross-country and Special Olympics hosted swimming and our winter sports include wrestling cheerleading Special Olympics basketball and for our spring Sports we had track tennis softball Special Olympics had soccer unfortunately covid-19 school closures took place in tournaments we've had some wins and we've had some and the coach looked at all of our student-athletes Awards award is for participation awards for students that were very attending attendance going to the games so you will now see the list of all the students that will receive the participation award nail first award Iron Ranger award it means those girls and boy student athletes that participate in multiple Sports throughout the year they participated and one sport for each season of fall winter and spring and they maintained their purse you will now see the list of students that played Sports year round Third Ward is the Iron Ranger of honor award musically memes any student-athlete that participated in sports throughout the year for each season as well as excelled in academics by maintaining an a average see the list of names who get the Iron Ranger of honors award in her final award is something that we truly want to take a moment to recognize this is the scholar athlete the Year award we recognize one individual female athlete and one male athlete they've competed in sports throughout the year plus they have a GPS in academics good strength of character supporting other students listening making a difference in games on and off the field round excellent student-athlete The Scholar athlete of the Year male student is left Shaymin female student Michaela Stein well everyone I just want to say that I am very proud of all of our student-athletes and those who receive I wanted it to say a special thanks to all of our coaches for contributing their time leadership and guidance we want to thank all of our staff members of the teachers the supervisor transportation that have all come together to support our Athletics program and student-athletes I want to thank parents for attending the games watching the games and keeping up with them I want to thank our student-athletes for always trying to improve themselves within their Sports I want to say stay home stay safe and stay positive I look forward to seeing you next year in the fall congratulations 1922 Middle School award ceremony I want to thank everyone who participated today and celebrating the achievements of our students this year on behalf of the middle school department I want to wish you a Shuffle summer and we will see you in August stay healthy and stay safe thank you
