It’s hard for all of us, parents, teachers, students, staff and administrators to watch the nightly news. We all expected to see increases in COVID after the holidays, but the quick spread of Omicron has surpassed our expectations.
Everyone at TSD is working hard to keep our campus community safe. We have numerous testing teams that are screening both staff and students on a regular basis.
We are trying to encourage our students to use their masks and your help will be instrumental in making a difference for everyone on campus. Our cafeteria has reinstated its barriers on our tables so we could allow our students to safely eat without their masks on.
With much regret we have temporarily suspended field trips, after school activities and athletics and returned to a stricter visitor policy.
We are feeling the impact of the virus. We’ve been managing this pandemic very well in the last two years, but with the Omicron variant, we are seeing a large increase of staff and students needing to be quarantined but we are committed to keeping our school open and continuing in person learning.

Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns. The only way we get to the other side of this pandemic is if we work together in ensuring we mask up, self-monitor, and get our vaccinations and booster shots. We are considering hosting additional vaccination clinics on campus.

Es difícil para todos nosotros, padres, maestros, estudiantes, personal y administradores ver las noticias nocturnas. Todos esperábamos ver aumentos en COVID después de las vacaciones, pero la rápida propagación de Omicron ha superado nuestras expectativas.
Todos en TSD están trabajando arduamente para mantener segura a la comunidad de nuestro plantel. Contamos con numerosos equipos de pruebas que examinan periódicamente tanto al personal como a los estudiantes.
Estamos tratando de alentar a nuestros estudiantes a usar sus cubre bocas y su ayuda será fundamental para marcar la diferencia para todos en el plantel. Nuestra cafetería ha restablecido sus barreras en nuestras mesas para que podamos permitir que nuestros estudiantes coman de manera segura sin sus cubre bocas puestos.
Con mucho pesar, hemos suspendido temporalmente las excursiones, las actividades extracurriculares y los deportes y hemos vuelto a una política de visitantes más estricta.
Estamos sintiendo el impacto del virus. Hemos estado manejando muy bien esta pandemia en los últimos dos años, pero con la variante de Omicron, estamos viendo un gran aumento de personal y estudiantes que necesitan estar en cuarentena, pero estamos comprometidos a mantener nuestra escuela abierta y continuar con el aprendizaje en persona.
