Texas School for the Deaf’s 8th Annual Ranger Triathlon

A great event for kids and beginners, Texas School for the Deaf (TSD) hosts its 8th Annual Ranger Triathlon at the school’s south Austin campus this Sunday, May 31st.

PACKET PICK-UP:               Contact us for more info:

·      For participants traveling a distance, please contact the race director to arrange race day Packet Pick Up at the information booth.

 

IMPORTANT:                        Participants must bring a photo ID and current USAT membership card to Packet Pick Up, WITH NO EXCEPTIONS. 

·      Non USAT members will be required to purchase a single-day license, available at Packet Pick Up, for $12.00 (ages 18 and older), or an annual USAT membership for youth, (ages 7-17) for $15.00. 

·      Annual USAT memberships for adults or youths may also be purchased online at usatriathlon.org.

 

BIKE CHECKS:                     All bikes must be checked prior to race, per USAT safety rules. 

·      For quickest entry on race day, entrants are encouraged to present your bike and receive the USAT bike inspection sticker prior to race day at Jack & Adam’s Bicycles – 300 South Lamar Blvd., Suite L.

·      Bikes can also be inspected on race day before entering the transition area.

 

TRANSITION AREA:            Open from 6:45am – 8:30am.

 

PRE-RACE CHECK-IN:  Body markings, bike and helmet inspections must be done on race day prior to entering the transition area. 

·      Participants may NOT compete without a helmet, and must have ANSI, SNELL, CPSC approved helmets only, worn and fastened at all times while on the bike.

 

TSD CAMPUS PARKING:   Campus security will direct you to parking on campus.

 

TSD CAMPUS TRAFFIC:    For safety reasons, all TSD on-campus traffic will cease and all TSD campus gates will be closed during race time, until the last participant crosses the finish, WITH NO EXCEPTIONS. 

·      Spectators arriving late must park off-campus and will be allowed only to enter as pedestrians.
