Transportation

 

With safety as our main goal, TSD Transportation provides bus service to and from school for eligible students as well as, transportation and vehicles for field trips, work program placements, athletic events and other school/social/recreational activities. Our services span the school year and summer sessions, as we strive to meet the needs of an increasing and varied population of deaf and hard of hearing students attending Texas School for the Deaf.

 

The Transportation Office is located at the south end of campus just inside the Elizabeth Street Gate. Our office is in the building labeled Maintenance Compound. Our staff includes the Transportation Coordinator, Dispatcher, Administrative Assistant/Dispatcher, Mechanic/Driver, School Bus Drivers, and School Bus Monitors. The Transportation Office is open from 5:45 am until 5:30 pm on Monday through Thursday and on Fridays is open from 5:45 am until 4:30 pm.

Please be aware that if your child is a residential student, living on campus, their transportation is handled by the Residential Department and you can contact the Homegoing Coordinator in Residential Services at 512-462-5602.
