DIANE BLASTIC

Diane Blastic has a BS in Psychology and worked with people who have cognitive delays. During that time, she began to learn ASL to assist individuals who could hear but not speak. After spending time in the Deaf community, she was encouraged to think about a career in interpreting.

Diane attended RIT/NTID for an AAS in American Sign Language/English Interpretation. She began her career at RIT as a staff interpreter. Now, Diane has interpreting experience in a variety of places and situations. Some of her favorites have been in the Pentagon, in the Pacific Ocean, and for His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Diane also enjoys providing professional workshops for interpreters, focusing on self-care and mental and physical issues related to interpreting.
