Texas Transition and Employment Guide
This guide provides helpful information for students and their parents. The guide has steps students and families can take to make sure they are able to find the right work or educational choices after high school. It also tells them where to get services they need after graduation.
The guide is divided into sections on Self Advocacy, Transition Services, Employment and Supported Employment, Social Security Programs, Community and Long Term Services and Supports, Post-secondary Educational Programs and Services, Information Sharing, and Guardian and Alternatives. Each section, and at the end of the guide, there is a timeline of steps that are needed to make the transition from student to adult. If you have questions about the guide or the information in it, please contact Texas Education Agency - Special Education at email@example.com
