Elementary PE

Overview/Class Descriptions:

Our primary focus of Elementary Physical Education program is to equip K-5 students with the fundamental skills, positive attitudes, and behaviors essential to safe/effective movements and participation in lifelong activities.

Our program will emphasize fundamental motor skills that facilitate the development of efficient movement patterns, accommodate neural development, and the basic skills common to a variety of lifelong activities. K-5 students will establish health-related activity patterns and associated fitness capacities, such as strength, endurance, and flexibility.

Our program provides instruction on cognitive concepts related to assigning a value to engage in regular physical activities and enjoyable participation. Elementary PE students will develop appropriate personal-social skills that are essential to successful participation and meaningful interactions with peers in physically active settings.
