Hello, my name is Beth Keysear and I am one of the ACCESS teachers. I worked as an educational interpreter for 9 years in public schools in Florida and in Illinois. I have two B.A. degrees, one in Elementary Education and one in Deaf Education from MacMurray College. I taught high school at the Illinois School for the Deaf for one year. My husband and I moved to Austin in July of 2016. This is my second year working in the ACCESS department and I feel extremely fortunate to have a job that I love so much! I am so excited to be a part of this amazing school community.
My husband and I have three adult children between us, one lives in Colorado, and the other two live in Illinois. We were lucky to spend Christmas vacation and summer vacation visiting them in our travel trailer. Our children are 22, 22, and 19 years old! Whenever possible you will find me swimming, reading, or entertaining friends. I also love to cook, restore furniture, and shop!
I am beyond thrilled to be a Ranger! Remember this year, the theme is "Stronger Together". Please contact me if I can provide additional support or if you have questions. We includes teachers, staff, students, parents, employers...
