Hello!, I'm Felipe Bonifacio, and I am a Job Coach at Texas School for the Deaf. This is my first year at TSD and in Austin, TX as well!
I grew up in the northeastern Mexico and graduated from the Cedim College with a Bachelor Secondary degree in Graphic Design and Advertising. I then went to attend University of North Texas to earn a certificate in Job Coaching. Upon receiving my certification, I worked in the Rio Grande Valley in south Texas as a Job Coach.
Before pursuing higher education, I operated my own business as a Deaf Interpreter (in Mexican Sign Language and ASL) providing interpreting services in court, school, and hospital settings for 15 years before moving to Austin, TX.
Using my degree in graphic design and advertising, I have designed logos for clients such as Deaf Network of Mexico, Limpermx Films, Gallayah Café, Guanajuato International Deaf Film, Silent Automotive, Austin International Deaf Film and Arts Festival 2017, website American Sign Language en Español and many more!
I am fluent in Mexican Sign Language and Spanish. I also excel in drawing and cooking Italian cuisine is my specialty! My passion is traveling to different places in the world. My favorite city so far is Guanajuato, Mexico.
Room: Ford Building, Room 209
