Athena Maxwell: On Campus Work Program Specialist

Hello and Welcome! 

My name is Athena Maxwell and I am the On Campus Work Program Specialist within the ACCESS Program at the Texas School for the Deaf.  I have worked at TSD since the beginning of 2015. I love working in the ACCESS Department because of what our program is all about. We encourage personal success in the work place and allow our students to gain valuable professional and educational experiences through their time in the program. As the Program Specialist, I keep students engaged in their interests and encourage them to try new tasks to develop new skill sets. Also, students have the opportunity to earn volunteer hours helping in the local community--something that looks great on a resume!
