I am thrilled to be teaching English at Texas School for the Deaf! As a mother to a deaf child, it has been my passion to advocate for all Deaf individuals to have access to language equality and rigorous education standards. I obtained my master's degrees in Sign Language Teaching and Deaf Education from Gallaudet University and McDaniel College. I also received my bachelor’s of fine arts degree in Art Education and Studio Art from the College of New Rochelle. With my background in art and ASL, I am excited to be integrating visual arts and ASL to English as trilingual strategies to language learning. It is my ultimate goal to see students expand a rich list of descriptive words, perspectives, symbolisms, and themes in various literary works and media.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions!
